How to Compost your Tishwish Mailers

You've received a Tishwish 100% Compostable Mailer, but are not completely sure what to do next! You've come to the right place. We have created a step by step guide to help you dispose your CORNpostable mailers.

Our mailers are made from corn-based polymers and are suitable for both home and commercial compost. Simply follow the below steps and contribute to a more circular economy.

Step 1: Remove Labels and/or Stickers

Once you're ready to start the process, remove any/all 'extra' packaging on your mailer that may contain plastic or adhesive, this includes tape, shipping labels, stickers etc.

Step 2: Cut the Tishwish Mailer into strips

For the best results, cut your mailer into strips before composting it. ( Please note that it is not necessary to cut them into strips but is advised)

Step 3: Compost it!

If you have a home compost, you can simply put the mailer bits in the compost. In case you do not have one at home, you can search for a local composting facility and schedule a drop-off.

Step 4: Rotate & Aerate

If you're using a home compost, don't forget to rotate and aerate your compost. This helps the compost receive adequate amounts of oxygen, which helps to make the process easy.
